Circle Of Life Gardens & Farms: Healthy Living Community Summit
I attend this community event #CircleOfLifeGardensFarms #HealthyLivingCommunitySummit hosted by #TacomaCommunityCollege It was a beautiful spirit filled amazing success. The community near and far came out to support Lawrence Jenkins founder of #CircleOfLifeGardensFarms and member of #BlackPrisonCaucus (#BPC)& Aleta Haskins, owner and CEO of #GodsHouseOfSecondChances. They both have been incarcerated and in the criminal justice system however #Aleta served her time and is 20+ yrs in her rehabilitation journey and #Lawrence is still serving time and has created and developed #agricultural, #arts, and #leadership programs curriculum while serving his time, for himself and inmates supporting their rehabilitation, therapeutic, and personal development in preparation for re-entry back into the community….
#CircleOfLifeGardensFarms has aligned partnered with several community organizations & business allies advocates who also are supporting inmates reentry w/resource services around health living who are bridging the gap within the community for overall sustainability through #culinarytraining, #continuedgardeningeducation for therapeutic healing, supports and pathway for employment etc. Some but not all are listed below to name a few

as well as #communityorganizers and #speakers and #Faithcommunity who have love ones incarcerated and former incarcerated individuals who have transformed their lives and are purposefully living as productive citizens impacting the community. Inmates from #StaffordCreekCorrectionalCenter inmates who are currently participators reentry farms #CircleOfLifeGardensFarms #BPC and #artist were able to livestream in and shared their experiences. Fairchild Tom, #TCC, production team and #LarryQuintana all did a phenomenal job with coordinations of this Summit ensuring everyone involved was able to share experiences and their community resources engagement etc….
#CircleOfLifeGardensFarms is definitely transforming lives of incarcerated individuals that’s leading to the community transformation coming together in unity as one ☝🏾. I’m excited about this movement and looking forward to seeing further manifestation of alignments collaboration partnerships forming that is giving 2nd chances for transforming lives and our community….
